Cell-Con
to Roll Out New Generation HMC
for Production
The
new horizontal spindle H-15 Series 06A Machining Center from Cellular
Concepts debuts in Booth A-8369 at IMTS 2000. Designed to be a benchmark
for production-oriented machining centers, the Series 06 is heavier,
cleaner, tougher and loaded with new features from the base to the CNC.
The 3-axis Series 06A is simple to install, ecologically friendly, and
beefy enough to easily make high-torque cuts with ease. With a base
price of less than $100,000, the Series 06 reduces the cost of capital
and cost of operation for production job shops while providing the necessary
flexibility and machining power without unnecessary features and options.
New
features include:
stiffer
system overall, including the rigid new integral base and heavy ribbing,
permitting heavier chip loads, higher torque and higher metal removal
rates. dry-floor operation with 1-piece guarding,
including closed top, illuminated work area and heavy-duty, coolant-tight
door system.
3-point leveling eliminates the need for expensive
anchoring or foundations
Quick evacuation of all types of chips from stringy
steel to fine iron
The
Cell-Con® Model H-15 machining centers feature a traveling column design
with a 24" x 29" table. Axis travels are 24" (X), 21" (Y), and 18" (Z).
Positioning accuracy is ±.0001". The 6 or 12 tool ATC, with chip-to-chip
time under 8 seconds, is engineered for high duty cycles and designed
for low maintenance. Standard spindle speed ranges are 0-2000, 3000,
or 6000 RPM; or users can choose the optional 8000 RPM range.
The
H-15 can be provided as stand alone machining center, as a Duplex version
with two opposed units with a single table; or as a pallet index machining
center with integrated 180-degree bi-directional pallet type index table
with 21.5"X17" surface. The H-15 is ideal for machining cell applications
due to its compact, ergonomic design.
From
high and medium production metal cutting manufacturers, to small job
shops with short runs, the Cell-Con® H-15 Horizontal Machining Center
has found many suitable applications. Customer base consists of metalworking
shops in automotive, marine, aerospace, appliance, and general manufacturing
segments. Users can be up and running quickly with the machine of their
choice. That translates into more production per employee per year at
lower cost.
Full
user support.
Cell Con provides fully documented and supported machining modules,
backed by the experience of nearly 800 in the field already. Cellular
Concepts is committed to helping all customers to achieve the optimum
application of its technology.
Simple
maintenance, high durability.
Basic components, such as GE/Fanuc® controls, Class 7 precision angular
contact bearings in spindle and ball screw assemblies, Vogel lubrication
system, 20th Century precision ball screws, and a FEA-designed fabricated
base supporting a cast-iron column, are each field proven components
assuring reliability, durability, and simple maintenance.
